The weekend started off with a cool find....a luna moth. Thanks grandma for sharing!
Then it was all about fishing, and more fishing.
Even though fishing was not the best...the boys were able catch a couple. Not records...but still fun to catch.
The boys asked if they can now be on the dock without life jackets. So...i told them that if they pass my swimming test they can go sans-lifejacket. The boys needed to jump off the dock and swim to the shore. Jamison first tried it with his life jacket on. He was swimming and swimming and then he realized that he can touch the bottom of the the lake. "I'm good" he declared.
He then gained enough confidence to jump with out the jacket...and he passed. Good thing because I didnt want to jump in and rescue him. The water was a little chilly. I mean, I would if I had to but I am glad that I didnt have to.
Peter tried it with his jacket and said that he would take the test over the July 4th weekend. I know he will do well.
The lake bay had a visitor...Jamison captured this heron on the neighbor's dock.
Peter had too much of the great ourdoors...he had to find a place where the sun did not disrupt his MarioKart game.
Jamison and Pat took the canoe out with their fishing poles. Jamison was soooo excited when he caught a fish! "Get it in the boat!" cries Pat
On the way home we stopped at a Chinese Buffet for dinner, momma did not want to cook when we get home. This is the boys "can we have a soda too?" look, with a cross-eyed twist.
